sorry if i'm hijacking this thread a bit!Īs i said, it's more or less what i have to do right n ow and i find it disruptive to my workflow. in terms of iOS, i used to use prism a lot, but depending on what i'm doing now, the lack of repeat toggles still just makes it easier to just use the regular plex app for the most part. I get that the devs probably have bigger fish to fry, but these are really one of those elementary nuisances that keeps me from using plexamp as my 'daily driver' when at my PC. by contrast, a program such as MPC-BE (which i use as my all-purpose media player in windows) has a similar 'clean' UI mode, but you can use a toggle (options > interface > use flybar) to do add 'ghosted in' set of title bar manipulators that only show up if you hover your mouse over the top right. if i want to close plexamp i either have to hit the very top of the app window 'just right' with a right-click to bring up the close window dialog, right click on the taskbar or use alt+F4 (if i remember that.) again, i know this is kinda ticky-tacky, but it really just tweaks me the wrong way and feels kinda unnecessary. in terms of achieving a more pristine 'clean' look, this doesn't bother me at all, but in terms of workflow and functionality, i find it hugely annoying. (windows desktop version) this is a bit more oddball, but it basically triggers my OCD pretty bad - for whatever reason, the desktop version foregoes the standard windows implementation of the title bar buttons (close, minimize and restore) in the upper right corner.making it a settings switch you can toggle on and off really doesn't seem like a big ask. i get that not everyone uses these much but some of us do use them and use them a lot. i really don't get why this hasn't been there since day 1. (all versions) no repeat/repeat-1 toggles. My two problems with it right now are as follows: ![]() at 1.0, it was kind of a cute little idea, but not terribly functional for my use case scenarios, but by 3.0, it's nearly perfect for me. I feel like plexamp has grown leaps and bounds from 1.0 to the current 3.x. Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts on Plexamp. And I haven't even gone into how beautiful the UI is (there are a few tweaks I'd like to see for the desktop version though). So from a functional perspective Plexamp is fantastic. This has definitely been a game-changer for me. Plexamp has given me the ability to have all my music from iTunes, and lossless FLAC/DSD/WAV files, in one place that's easily accessible across all my devices. I used to rely on iTunes Match for a backup of my music library, which has now been replaced with a dedicated backup drive on my computer. On my mobile device, I've had no trouble playing music with Plexamp over cellular data while on the go (transcoding lossless to 320kbps). Plex has effectively replaced the music app on my iDevices/computers. One for all my music, and another that just shows my lossless files. But now, I have multiple libraries in Plex for music. This worked great for mp3s, but every time I'd get lossless music I had to take the time to convert to ALAC so that it'd upload to iTunes cloud. For mobile use, my music was in the iTunes ecosystem with iTunes Match/ cloud. Before Plexamp I mostly only used Plex to stream music to my various chromecast-connected stereos. It's been a few months now, and I just wanted to say that Plexamp has changed the way that I listen to music. ![]() Please go to the relevant subreddits and support forums, for example: Build help and build shares posts go in their respective megathreads No referral / affiliate links, personal voting / campaigning / funding, or selling posts ![]() Welcome to /r/Plex, a subreddit dedicated to Plex, the media server/client solution for enjoying your media! At that point I walked into the middle of the group (now totaling 4 people) and told the service writer I wanted my car back immediately and the service manager of my experience. ![]() The two of them promptly walked away to show the service manager something funny on their phone. After an hour and a half, I went to the service writers' (who was talking to a fellow employee) to inquired as to what the diagnosis was. I finally had to ask for a service writer to help me. Waited or a service writer for another 20 minutes while other vehicles came in, met with a service writer and had their cars moved into the que area with cars driving around me. Finally, a car was moved, and I was able to enter the service bay. After going inside to see what the holdup was, I discovered that there were 2 open spots in front of each of these cars. I sat outside in front of the garage door for 15 minutes not realizing since both service bays had one car just inside the door. In other words, it is not the “volume of paint” that is important (which is usually indicated in most recipes), but “amount of color” represented by that volume of paint. Third, when one mixes colors, the end result can best be determined by the amount of color one adds to the mixture, rather than amount of paint. For example, Thalo Blue is of such a high tinting strength that to measure an amount small enough to include as an ingredient in a “color recipe” is nearly impossible. Second, there are a few tubed colors of paint that are of such high tinting strength that one could hardly devise a logical method of measuring them out in specific portions accurately. How could you possible use measured volumes of those paints in a recipe. Just think about how many color versions of Naples Yellow, Yellow Ocher, or Burnt Umber there are in terms of their actual hues. First, tubed colors from different manufacturers are seldom the same. There are several reasons they don’t work. The “recipe approach”, such as “One part of this color, to three parts of that color, just doesn’t work from a practical standpoint. MS ended up being just the occasional $10 off gift card sale at Safeway, since we are there regularly anyway, cashing out a card or two when we pass by WalMart anyway. This I’ve primarily done at the WalMart money center, where I’d often be unlucky enough to run into a giant line. Even if I do get my hands on some cards, I then need to cash them out. While earning points is always nice, it isn’t worth it much of the time. Time adds up quickly since we live in a rural area. There is just one in the County.Īnd it isn’t right around the corner. When cards go on sale at Staples, for example, I can’t hit up four or five locations in a single trip. There are only a handful of stores that sell Visa gift cards. Living in a rural area, I have multiple factors that limit manufactured spending. Why Simon Bulk Gift Cards Changed My MS Landscape However, now that you can buy Simon bulk gift cards, my ability to sustain a reasonable manufactured spending volume has changed. Never more than $1,000 to $2,000 per month. I’d catch a Visa deal at Safeway, or top off an account buying a couple Visa cards at CVS, cashing out at the USPS (until that died). I dipped my toes into the practice at times, but it was always small volume. While I’ve been in the miles and points hobby for years now, one of the things I never really got into manufactured spending. “These laws passed legislatures in places like Pittsburg, Montana and Massachusetts. So how close did these laws come to 86-ing Chinese restaurants all together? It was accomplished only after they smoked and drank in the chop suey restaurants and permitted themselves to be hypnotized by the dreamy seductive music that is always on tap.” Vanity and a desire for showy clothes led to their downfall, it is declared. ![]() “More than 300 Chicago white girls have sacrificed themselves to the influence of chop suey joints during the last year, according to police statistics. This all came together to produce the kind of fear illustrated in this excerpt from a 1910 Tribune editorial. And in the middle of this, emerged a chop suey craze.” “They were places of racial mixing, freer from the regulation of a traditional society at a time of cultural change, when women were starting to vote and were headed toward national suffrage. “You could think of them as kind of underground rave or underground dance parties,” Chin says, reaching for a more modern analogy. Many offered music, kept late hours, attracted a Bohemian clientele and were connected to saloons or gambling houses. It should be noted that many (but certainly not all) of Chicago’s early Chinese restaurants sprang up in Chinatowns that abutted the city’s red light districts (first around Harrison Street and then Cermak Road). Daniel Harkin (one of the 1906 citizenship ordinance’s supporters) was informed that the proposed legislation would effectively bar Chinese from the restaurant trade, he responded the city “could get along without any chop suey places,” according to Tribune reports at the time. ![]()
